England & Wales
Open Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)
£7,500 (air/ground source) · £2,500 (air-to-air) · £5,000 (biomass)
Property owners in England & Wales replacing a fossil-fuel or standard electric heating system. An MCS-certified installer is required and there is one grant per property. The old EPC requirement was removed in April 2026.

Open Warm Homes Plan
£15 billion programme (2025–2030)
An umbrella government programme (launched January 2026) that includes fully-funded upgrades for low-income households, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and a new Warm Homes Fund offering low/zero-interest loans.

Open Home Energy Scotland Grant & Loan
Up to £7,500 grant + up to £7,500 interest-free loan (+£1,500 rural)
Open to all owner-occupied households in Scotland (no income test for the core grant/loan). Rural and island homes qualify for an extra £1,500.
